CARXXXTTカーハートとは1889年にハミルトンカーハートが設立したワークウェアブランド。
1830年に入り製造業が増えた背景から労働者に向けたワークウェアを製造することを決意したカーハート氏は４台のミシンと５人の従業員という少ない機材と人材で製造を始めます。そして現在もカーハートを代表するアイテムであるオーバーオールを誕生させます。主な生地を14オンスコットンへと変更したことで優れた耐久性と機能性を実現し、工具用ポケットを加えたことで労働者に受け入れられていきました。
1935年代から1960年代に製造されたアイテムには【メイドインユニオン】の文字がタグに記載されています。このタグは、当時大きな影響を持っていた労働組合が認めた証でありアイテムへの信頼度を証明するものでもありました。その為、労働者の多くは認められた証明タグを求めカーハートの製品を手に取り仕事着として着用するように。
90年代に入ると労働者だけでなくHIP HOPアーティストやストリートシーンで着用されるようにもなります。この影響に伴い1997年にデザインやシルエットをより現代にアレンジしたヨーロッパ初のカジュアル・ウェアライン【CARXXXTT WIP】をスタートさせ、今に至ります。
A popular item that has been hidden for many years with a tough cotton duck fabric of 12oz and a simple silhouette that appeared in 1954. The degree of fading is set from the beginning of the fabric so that the atmosphere will come out over time, and the characteristic color fading unique to duck fabric, which is not found in ordinary twill denim, is attractive. This also has realistic aging and damage, but it has a more masculine flavor. The short length like a vintage gabardine jacket and the necessary roomy silhouette bring out the austerity. Since it is old, there is rare deterioration over time.
